I Love You More

A teenage uncertainty
I decided to take a chance
Incoherently I mumble
asking her to dance
Sitting on a park bench
my arm around her shoulder
I offer her my coat
as it gets a little colder
Telling me she loves me
like no one else before
pulling her close to hold her
I say I love you more
Vows made to one another
Friends and family gathered round
like the day that I first met her
my heart begins to pound
Looking into my eyes
she whispers the words I do
My pronouncement yet unspoken
but everyone still knew
Know I'll always love you
whether we're rich or poor
Till death do us part
she said I'll love you more
Lying in a hospital bed
a small bundle in her arms
The ones that I most Treasure
I'll protect from any harm
Our children have all grown
We are beginning to slow down
We couldn't be more grateful
for the love that we have found
Two stones our only memory
when we knock at heavens door
As we tell the Lord we love him
He says I love you more
I decided to take a chance
Incoherently I mumble
asking her to dance
Sitting on a park bench
my arm around her shoulder
I offer her my coat
as it gets a little colder
Telling me she loves me
like no one else before
pulling her close to hold her
I say I love you more
Vows made to one another
Friends and family gathered round
like the day that I first met her
my heart begins to pound
Looking into my eyes
she whispers the words I do
My pronouncement yet unspoken
but everyone still knew
Know I'll always love you
whether we're rich or poor
Till death do us part
she said I'll love you more
Lying in a hospital bed
a small bundle in her arms
The ones that I most Treasure
I'll protect from any harm
