Dreamwish

Whispered dreamwish drifting soft,
on darkened wings and cast aloft
Each tender word to wounds a balm,
as gentle as a lover’s palm
In unseen eyes soul’s promise speak,
the wordless yearn of deepest sleep
Forbidden tableau played-out in mind,
not knowing if ‘tis felt in kind
But kindest night sweet dreams allow,
of things unspoken to now a-vow.
Cheek pressed to heart a warming blush,
while arms enfold and ache to crush
Softest skin against does lay,
both intertwined and shun the day
Lips that long to sip and taste,
ache while they must remain in chaste
Elusive scent a taunting tease,
that fills the head; no need it ease
A hand outstretched in want caress,
does tremble as it thinks to press
And on the tongue the sweetest dream,
made bitter by a palette clean.
These wishes cloaked by gentle night,
safe keeper from sad morning light,
Unspoken and not act upon,
this dreamwish shall in mind go on.

This is really beautiful. I love how you have created a dream vibe, like the poem is one as much as it is about one!

Thanks very much. That's the effect I was going for.:tiphat: It was written for someone in particular. ;)
