The Girl Upstairs
Confused
and
conflicted.
Always questioning who I am and what I think and what I want and what I am.
But confusion doesn't exist when the girl walks
up
the
stairs.
I don't know her name.
I don't know anything about her.
All I know, is she walks up the stairs and my eyes trail after her, following.
Her hair bounces in ripples.
Her lips twitch into an almost smile.
Her eyes flash briefly of summers.
And she walks up the stairs.
Up and away.

One feels like a duck, splashing around in all this wet. And when one feels like a duck, one is happy!
