Blind Trust

I would like to share this one piece from my work.

The world was dark,
with no light in sight,
"Take my hand, sweetheart"
I will guide towards what's right,
Oh how what a fool I was,
What I had always been,
Light was right infront of me
but I was blindfolded
by your treacherous promises
of infidel loyalty
and
as the haze of faze cleared,
I realized,
all the stars you pointed towards,
were nothing but phosphenes.

-Blind trust leaves you blind eyed.
