The Garden of Time

The garden of time has no beginning and no end
It has no stake in the time that we spend
It’s there for your use to sow the seeds of our heart
We never can harvest if we don’t learn to start
Don’t try to plant bad seeds they never will grow
The time that we waste will make us feel low
The good seeds will grow if nurtured with patience
With love and faith, they’ll need little maintenance
The harvest we reap is sure to be known
The best part of life this garden has grown

I love this! It is so beautiful! The rhyming pattern is just so satisfactory to me because it flows so well! I feel that it is weird to feel so satisfied at the rhyming pattern..but, what the heck! Good job!!

A "garden" of time is a timely concept. In this age where we delineate more about time travel, wormholes, or the concept of a space-time continuum, methinks it's about time that gardens should also be thought of, and the moral tenets by which to conform while tending to them. I like the poem.

I love the theme of nature as a metaphor in poetry. I feel like your garden of times coincides well with some of the stuff I wrote in a poem called Compost
I like to imagine what lies beyond the frame of a painting
The art that it's a piece of
The thoughts things were created from
(The feathers of a dove)
The process between an idea
And a final product...
Though I wish we could share all our inspirations
Maybe some things should stay private
Even the most beautiful thoughts
Sometimes really ought not
To be exposed as they are to the world
Some potentials simply stay furled
But it's okay if they stay that way
At least you knew them, so appreciate
That certain love can't be shared
(Though there are loves that exist to dare)
And the quiet loves that you keep to yourself
Are worth just as much as anything else
Don't worry that you didn't create
Every idea that knocked at the gate
Their intention was never to be a guilt
So plant new flowers
Let some wilt
