Silence

My heart stopped beating,
and I slipped into death's cold claw -
at my funeral pretending to be grieving,
did anyone care at all?
To their cold hearts is it pleasing
that into death's grip I did fall?

Blood is thicker than water,
yet no tears for my spilled blood.
Not even my mother or father.
Is that truly love,
not to shed one tear for their daughter?
To earn their love, my life wasn't enough.

Now under the ground
I lay numb and silent.
My purpose I had not found,
my time had been spent.
Without feeling or sound;
this is the end.

This is an extremely raw and tragic poem! Whatever your drive to write this poem was, I don't want to know, but nonetheless, this was a very well written and expressive poem. You should perhaps write a more redemptive part, maybe...that is just my opinion though. Well done!
