My Bully

Bullying is a nightmare
That fills you with fear
Builds up your anger
And leaves you in despair

Makes you feel unwanted unsafe and lost
Lowers your self esteem and your self pride
Makes you feel like everyone has lied

If only my bully knew how I felt
As they lashed out at me like a belt
Endless tears day and night
Trying to hold them back with all my might

Terrorizing me at school
Making me seem like a fool
Thinking this will make them cool

Bullies only have one goal
To make you feel weak
A silent cry for help and a silent shriek

But bully you have made me stronger
And I can't help but ponder
On why you did this to me

Note: This is a poem I wrote in 6th grade.

Wow, I'm not sure if the note is part of the poem or not but it should be! It made everything abruptly heart-breaking and personal, whereas before, the reader might assume that the poem is generic. If I was your editor, I would make the title "Note: This is a poem I wrote in 6th grade". It really hammers home how horrible bullying is and how it damages people at such a young age.
