Covid-19

COVID 19 got you doubting your next of kin
Our mouths are covered and our thoughts constrained
Some of us have a reason to smile
Others are too afraid of the cousin to swine
In every neighborhood, there's handwashing sensitization
It has become the talk of each nation
I believe a time will come
When a man and a woman will hold hands
When a soulmate will kiss another
And a moment be shared over a burger
Let us not forget to be strong
The clock is ticking, and the numbers are growing
Don't fall into the trap of losing your grip
Lest you end up in grief

The rhythm of this is fantastic! I would love to see it read as a spoken word piece.

Thanks for sharing the piece! I think you described great aspects of the situation and used good structure. Its excellent how first you created the present scene, then expressed hope about the future and closed with encouraging imperative words.

I especially love the line "let us not forget to be strong," it's quite an encouragement.
