I hope in the next life
I'd wake up on a Sunday
with your sleeping face
tracing the lines on every
exquisite part of your face
I'd kiss your sleepy eyes
I'd kiss your pointy nose
I'd bite your lips
because baby I know
you couldn't help but smile
oh what heartache
oh what heartbreak
when wishful thinking
and happy memories
hurt the most
knowing the vivid fact
that you were never mine
right from the start
