I guess I'm taking the long way home
and it's taking me years
to find my way back
or am I just scared to see the things
that aren't there anymore?

maybe I am scare to walk past
the streets that were once familiar to me
and see the people I once left behind
because sometimes leaving is easier
than telling the truth

it will give you the freedom that you want
the freedom you have craved for
but then find out, bliss is temporary
I am still shackled from the past I left behind
of memories I play on my mind

when the nights are long and cold
of scenarios that I wish
I should have said the right the right words
I wish that feeling lasted longer
that moment was perfect
