They say home is where the heart is
But I lost my heart in the middle of my journey
My heart ran away with a gun
Never to return, never to trust anyone

They say blessed is the restless broken road
But I walk this Earth alone
Trying to put a Band-Aid on a bullet hole
Watching the seasons change, aimlessly drifting

That's quite a scene. I like how you chose to rhyme here and there, as opposed to everywhere; the rhymes pop more that way.
