Hands open wide,
Words in shapes of cheer,
Always there to fill a company's space,
All from you to me.
I am pleased,
So, I show gratitude.

Gratitude is sunlight to the green plant of kindness,
A moist soil that makes the flower of generosity blossom.
When in form of commendation,
It builds up.
It gladdens the heart,
And keeps the flame of doing more burning.
It has powers to move a stagnant mind,
steering the feeling of butterflies in the stomach.

Gratitude is a priceless gift,
A peace to the giver,
And a lift to the receiver!

What a feel-good poem. My personal favourite phrase is: "keeps the flame of doing more burning." Magnificent. The last stanza is quite true.
