Icon THE HUMAN GAME

Post by Ken Bennet »

THE HUMAN GAME
I Am the image and likeness of Love,
God-like, eternal, in Spirit above;
Heedless of earth and its strange paradigms.
Exempt from the rules of its space and its times.
But, choosing a pathway of untethered flight,
Abandoning knowledge of freedom and light,
My avatar enters earth’s field of play
As an infant ostensibly fashioned from clay.
To appear as descended from Adam this date
Affirms my desire to participate
In the game I call ’Human’ - played on a field
That only an lnfinite Being can wield.
And knowing that everything real is Divine
Ensures that unlimited power is Mine.

I play while observing the game from afar
by scripting events for my own avatar.
With earnest desire to create, nothing more,
I people the planet with beings galore.
And scripting events for these beings as well
My avatar tends to forget where they dwell.
He thinks that they’re separate from him and each other-
An ancestor, parent, a sister, a brother,
A child, an acquaintance he met in Sedona,
Relate day to day with his human persona.
But I wrote the script for this little cantata,
And minus that script they’re persona non-grata.
So when his persona discerns its true source,
His dream of being human is threatened of course.

So now he embarks on enlightenment’s path
Incurring his ego’s immediate wrath.
For when it’s approaching demise is perceived
The ego is greatly perplexed and aggrieved.
And being the target of this aggravation,
His focus is shifted to self-preservation.
For ego can never imagine extinction,
It thinks it’s the ultimate source of distinction.
Imagine the depth then of ego’s resistance
To thoughts that would challenge its real existence.
And so he discovers that he has no power
To challenge the ego in its ivory tower.
For he’s just a player in this ‘Human Game’.
Where nothing is real and no one’s to blame!

The one thing our avatar never suspected
Was how his existence would be disconnected
From anything real or true on the earth.
For every event that’s occurred since his birth,
Was only the script that we wrote when he came
To play out the role that we chose for the Game!
The world and the cosmos, the history of nations,
The neighbors, the populace, family relations;
These are but thoughts that he chose to believe,
Thoughts that were subtle enough to deceive
Himself so the game could proceed undetected,
Obscured by the lies which remain well protected.
But now as he goes from Phase One to Phase Two,
He enters the path that will lead to what’s true!

The purpose for each of these Phases is clear.
In Phase One our player will blindly adhere
To rules of the game that convince him he’s mortal.
Until he discovers and enters the portal
Of Spirit, revealing the truth of his being -
That he is the God-like, eternal, all-seeing,
Reflection of God, the one perfect likeness
Of all that is true and that shines with a brightness
That far exceeds anything humans can see,
Revealing what Spirit’s true likeness must be.
In Phase Two our player now plays as he chooses,
Where everyone wins and nobody loses.
For every One God ever made is Divine,
And every thing God ever made is but Mine!

Wow, you have such a huge understanding of human beings and I love how the poems relate them to supernatural beings
