Fleeting

Post by Kells_hells_ »

A fleeting glimpse
A far away feeling but your so close
The air is too thick, thick with my worries
The flow has takin my mind to strange places
Places I don’t wish to be
Do I say something?
Would I seem shallow, mean?
How could I cut the ice you wedged between us?
My mind is swirling in this battle against its self
Is it me? Am I the one you don’t trust?
Am I taking the blame for your actions now
Your the one who casted me to the side
left me in the dust, once again.

This poem is, to me, profound. It opens the tender parts of the psyche and emotions. At the same time it questions whether our own way of being or thinking should be the rule. It puts out there the questions we ask ourselves; especially those regarding others. It activates the intellectual need for clarity and comprehension.
I like this poem because it requires me to question my side of the human relationship equations.
