We tried to eat the fruit
Before the time was ripe
And instead tried to bite
On fruit too tart and hard
'Tis mushy now and marred
And time the way has barred
Back to the moment,
The time the fruit was ripe

I like it. It is funny the things one picks to write. Sometimes I wonder if they pick us instead of the other way around.
