Poem Name: How Much?

How deep is the scar?
that nobody can see
How chronic is the pain?
that only you can feel

How heavy are the words?
that keep failing you
How wide is that smile?
that always hides the truth

How full are the tears?
that are waiting to fall
How frozen are the fingers?
that can’t make one call

How far is the time?
that will make you forget
How strong is the memory?
that stores all this regret

How soon you will rise?
above all your pain
How big a heart you need?
to make you smile again

How long will you hold?
to darkness of your past
How much distance to close?
To meet your future at last


Wrote this one a few years back.. I have not shared my poems much. Write for myself, but decided to share and see if theya re any good.
