God, for me.

Post by Esther Godwin Ogechi »

It's exhausting trying to explain,
It adds to the pain.
The feeling drives me insane,
It's frustrating.

My pillow is wet,
Like it was met by rain.
I want to scream,
My heart is aching,
I can feel headaches in my brain.

I wish to talk to someone,
But I conclude already,
Before opening my mouth,
That it'd be in vain.

That's when I rush back to You,
And You run toward me,
And meet me in my lane.

You alone can tell,
How frustrated I am,
And how much it drains,
Trying to explain.

So, You don't even ask questions,
You just welcome me,
With a big embrace.

Tears fall from my face,
You seem to know,
Exactly how to respond,
To my troubles and craze.

You kiss my head softly,
And immediately calms,
The storm by your Grace.

It's why, when I start feeling,
Misunderstood, confused,
Or alone in my maze,
I can always look back at You,
And know that with You,
I have a place.

Only you understand perfectly,
The pain in my tears.
For I know the thought I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, not of evil, to give you an expected end.Jeremiah 29:11

It's good to have someone who you can trust in times of sorrow, whether it's a family member or a friend. This poem sounds like based on a true experience. I don't know how to write a poem.๐Ÿ™ˆ But yours is wonderful. Keep it up!

I think this was beautifully written! Nice work. Life can be so confusing until we just look to the one who is never changing. And he is always there.

The comforter, and never changing indeed. I'm glad you found this worthwhile.
