Mirror mirror on the wall

Post by Oliviachan »

Mirror mirror on the wall
Mirror mirror do you recall?
All the warnings reflected at me
Was I blind?
Could I not see?
Mirror mirror I should've listened
When I was young and I still glistened
Mirror mirror I beg you please
Forgive me and please just seize

Nice. Written with the same rhyme scheme as its original, but much more humorous. :D

Nice. Written with the same rhyme scheme as its original, but much more humorous. :D

“there have been so many times
i have seen a man wanting to weep
but
instead
beat his heart until it was unconscious.

I love it. I used to love looking in the mirror and now it's like getting on the scale. I only do it when forced.

Nice. I think everyone in the world can relate to this poem. We all have lost dreams taken by time and wrong turns and we wish we would have listened to our former, youthful selves.

I think that this poem is about growing older and looking at the regrets in the mirror. But I don't understand what the speaker is expecting the mirror to do with the command to "seize"? It's not very clear.
