A tale of two men
Gather around all, I’ll tell you a story. There’s a warning indeed to all that ignore me.
It’s a tale of two long dead men, whose story was weighty both now and back then.
It starts with the two men, one strong and one weak, one who was haughty and one who was meek.
The first was born with a healthy fine heart; the second was flimsy right from the start.
The first fought well and gained a great throne, the second fell sick and hadn’t a home.
The first had gold up to his head; the second had just prayers when he went to bed.
The first man believed bloodshed settled disputes, the second knew hatred and firmly refused.
When both men came to that day we all meet, one man was ready, the other was weak.
For though he had everything, and his money he favored, his evil was known and he died with his hatred.
The other man though, was weak yes, in flesh, but his heart made him dear to those who laid him to rest.
Now the end of the story has just come to pass, so heed now that love, not gold, is what lasts.

I really like this; has it been published anywhere? It ought to be. :)
