MY DEAR MOTHERLAND
Who will come for us?
Who will speak for us,
And speak to be heard?
Who will listen to the
Sorrows of our tears?
Who will shield us from
The direct beating of the rain?
Who will quench the thirst,
Deep within our souls?
Who will lead this land,
And point her back to the track
That seems impossible to find?
Who will love this onyx race
And her children, as his own?
Oh, I fear, I fear for
My dear motherland.
My motherland, a beautiful land
Flowing abundantly with
Milk and honey.
Where the sons and daughters
Bath all day long in the sun.
A paradise lush with life,
Where the darkest oil
Runs deep in her bowels,
And the rivers flow
Fresh and clear.
A land, beautiful in her diversity.
Oh, I love, I love
My dear motherland.
How is it that the hills are
Now greater than the mountain
From which they were formed?
How is it that light no longer
Shines at the end of the tunnel?
How is it that it the worth
Of a man is now measured
By what he possesses?
How is it that the opinion
Of the poor now counts
To nothing?
How is it that we are contented
With the lie and misery, we live in?
Oh, I weep, I weep for
My dear motherland.
Our hearts are ripped out,
Torn to shreds and stomped
Upon in our very eyes by
Your sons of power.
They claim to be saviors,
But put your children in the
Forefront, to take the bullets
For their misdeeds.
The sound of our cry
Is like music to their ears.
We are led by hunger
Out to other lands.
We turn to our darkest devices
To make ends meet,
They judge us, without knowing
What we come from.
Oh, I pray, I pray for
My dear motherland.
Oh, my motherland,
With a heart in shreds and
Both eyes drained of tears
I weep for thee.
You were once a haven for all,
Your beauty preceded you,
You were once the strongest
Among equals, but your sons
Of power has risen and stripped
You of your beauty.
They have created a barricade
Between you and your children.
My dear motherland, you are
Now a shadow of what you
Once were. How! I say how,
Can you heal, when you fuel
The essence of their hunger?
Oh, it hurts, it hurts
My dear motherland.
Arise, oh compatriots!
Listen to the voices of the
Patriots weeping beneath
The earth, calling out for justice
For our motherland.
We were bound in freedom,
Peace and unity, but the
Shackles of our freedom are
Now hotter than coal.
We can now see clearly through
The illusion of peace and unity
We once lived.
Arise, oh my motherland
And deal dutifully with those
Who seek your destruction,
And make your children
smile again. For you will
Forever and always be
My motherland.

Venting in writing does help, alot. I'm glad someone shares the same sentiments as I do.
