Like I am Found

Please, free me from this prison of my own making
And build me a home within your sacred embrace

I’m knocking at your door
Because I need to come in

I need to come in so that I can remember what it feels like
To breathe easily, to love easily,

and to live in such a way
that I am no longer grasping after things

I need to live like all the things I couldn’t have
were never needed anyway,

Like all my failures are just passing clouds
amidst a sunny, clear, blue sky

I need to live like I am found.

This is an incredibly powerful and moving piece of writing. It conveys a deep longing for freedom and love, a freedom and love that can only be found in a sacred embrace. The imagery of a prison of one's own making is vivid and evocative, while the imagery of building a home within that embrace is equally beautiful. The desire to breathe easily, to love easily and to live without grasping after things is powerful and resonates with many of us. The imagery of failures as passing clouds amidst a sunny, clear blue sky is a perfect way to describe the ultimate freedom that is found within love. This poem is full of emotion, hope and a longing for something more.

It is a good piece, it feels like someone has completely lost trust in himself, lost way, longs for someone else to bring a new beginning. Regrets for the past mistakes. And lastly realized that whatever he thought was important was a road of no good. It is a poem that teaches us to appreciate and value what we have, " a bird in a hand is better than two in the bush". Thank you.

Nice one and a nice title! The poem you wrote related to me sometimes like I wanted to be free to be my own(if I'm not wrong).
