Is The Moon Lonely?

Traveling in a car as the moon follows
Not a star in sight, yet she glows,
Reading under the moonlight
Damaging my eyesight,
No regrets, just content
Peace
Happiness
Silence
The world suddenly feels still
Looking outside the car window
The blue sky turns grey, a sudden sadness creeps in
It starts pouring, a piece of soothing music to sleep in
The moon, now nowhere to be found
The words, just a mere shadow
The trees dance in the rain
And I feel a shiver down my spine,
A tugging pain
The slow breeze picks up its pace
And I am running this never ending race,
My thoughts lead me back to the moon,
Why is she so upset?
Does she feel lonely?
Does she hurt quietly?
And slowly
I understand why she hides behind the clouds when she cries
I see the similarities between her and I
And now I hope the stars shine after the raindrops dry.
