Mama’s words finally lead to a release!
I was the weaker sex; frail, fragile and frantic
living in a man’s harsh world
With husbands, the head of all
I was not protected from abuse; emotional and physical: agonies!
Saddled constantly with complexities of childbirth
The rape of my dignity, my knowledge and my voice
Has murdered the woman living in me
I scream for emancipation
from unvoiced decisions and suppressed opinions.
Now untamed, I fight for a release
I realize freedom
A freedom finally, from the woman in me
A man now lives at the death of the woman.
