A crack in an unbroken mirror.

Post by Scott »

I wrote this today! Let me know what you think!

---

I see a man with a crack running down his face
A glimmer of silver in a portrait of what's real
I see some human eyes, and a human mouth
I see some human lips, and they move like this
What do you see when you see me
Do you see the meal ticket that so many have chased
and so few have found
Because when you eat what another man hunted
Sometimes you still starve
Sometimes hunger still hurts and only gets worse
When it wasn't your tears that made it all work
Do you see the sperm donor
Filling spots like a last minute plus one
To a divorce that hasn't started yet
Do you see the unwitting movie star
Being auditioned for the one big scene
A name to fill a blank space in a big script
Standing quietly next to a big lead
Sometimes the dreams of white picket fences
Lack only in one extra's smile
But the camera flash only lasts
Like all things
for a fleeting moment

I'm not saying there's a god
but I am saying this:
God's prettiest flowers are harvested for food.
When you look at this crack in a mirror,
do you see me or do you see you?

A poem well written with a different perspective to look at oneself. Very thought provoking and interesting. Something that brightens you up as it gives a different angle to look at life

:techie-studyingbrown:

This represents a live and genuine human being who has unpredictable love and care for the other human being!

I appreciate your natural and God gifted loving nature!

And
When I look at this crack in a mirror I see you and meet you!
