Mirage

This is a first for me. I have written for many years but never showed. I felt compelled to do so now. This is called "Mirage". I have other things written and writing more.

When I look at you I see fun and joy
When you look at me you see a fool
When I look at you I see passion
When you look at me you see pity
When I look at you I see hope
When you look at me you see sadness and despair
When I look at you I see love
When you look at me you see a child
When you look at me you see the way into my world and conquer it
Eyes are a reflection
I know that because I see me
Eyes are a reflection
Eyes are a mirror of the soul
But a reflection of what they see
I am that reflection in your eyes
A mirror to my soul
I see me I am the love. I am the hope, I am the joy
So what do you see now that I am no longer in your vision?
