THE OLD ME

Days are pregnant
With fading dreams
Maybe with known excuses
l miss the old me.

Time is flying willy-nilly
Seconds are screaming
Minutes are moving fast
Maybe to nowhere
Or somewhere
l am nowhere
Chains of modern life are broken
Only death is predicted
Can l revisit the old dawns?
I miss the old me.

Dreams are sinking
I am seeing nothing
But fresh paradoxes
New setbacks
Day in
Day out
I am feeling exhausted
The body is tired
I am now scared
Can l revisit the old days?
I miss the old me.
