Climbing the Ladder

Climbing the ladder

Climbing the ladder I stop to see,
beautiful angels watching over me.
Climbing the ladder I stop and stare,
colorful wings flutter in the air.
Climbing the ladder high in the sky,
little cherubs giggle and fly.

Climbing the ladder I look down,
sad faces gather together on thy ground.
Climbing the ladder I gaze about,
family members faces full of doubt.
Climbing the ladder I say goodbye,
Husbands and children mourn and cry.

Climbing the ladder I see your face,
faster and faster I continue to race.
Climbing the ladder I hold you now
hugging and kissing upon thy brow.
Climbing the ladder I feel so free,
holding my sweet baby under the tree.
Climbing the ladder to see your face.

In loving memory

Almille,

Your poem is a beautiful tribute to a beautiful angel. I wish you peace.

Thank you Dato. Writing has helped a lot. I'm currently writing a book right now that he inspired. :-)
