Curious Gaze: Seeking my silent muse

Why do you read so much? they
asked I looked, and looked into their eyes to
search something, It was not there,
so I just said Time stands too still for me....
But, time is fickle than the sands
which fall from my hands
Their eyes though curious about why I
reas, are content with the life they
live, their eyes don't possess the
restlessness that possesses me,
they don't seem to be searching for an escape...
But why I do so?
