The Musings of a River

Content within myself I flow, keep flowing till I reach the sea.
I lose myself in it entirely, yet I never cease to be.
I fall, I rise, I move, I glide; a traveler of both time and space.
I live, I die, I live again; I have no soul, I have no face.
Yet one day I might dry at last, without a shadow of remorse,
For having streamed indifferently through easy plains and tenuous course,
I saw no borders; I just cherished life, a gift that I received,
I'll die but having truly lived, in higher purpose not believed.
