Moving on.

Post by ncoard »

I went to the graveyard that night and found everything I’d ever lost.

The girl I used to be, the way my hands used to be still,
the way my chest wasn't weighed heavy with this sadness.

I found the death of my own heart here tonight & brought myself back to life.

I created this death, I have to begin the resurrection before there's nothing left.

Bury me alive, leave me choking & gasping for air. Dig me up again.

Let me know how my hopes & dreams felt.

Let me know how I'll never feel again.

An excellent description of a graveside visit and a broken heart. I'm sure many can relate to this poem.

Nicely done!

Very relatable! I enjoyed reading this. You've done well! I agree with the above that I'm sure there are several people who would be able to relate.

This is very deep. I love the metaphors.

This is a beautiful illustration of the death of a relationship, the broken heart, death of the love and the dreams , and piece of you wrapped up in it, and the need for resurrection of you from this death. ❤
