THE BOOK OF LIFE

Post by Okewunmi Pelumi »

In the mind of a just man, it's clear,
A life to greater heights, he steers.
He celebrates success, indeed,
Rising to greatness with every deed.

Life's a book, a book is life's guide,
To the final page, where we all reside.
Life holds endless assumptions, it's true,
As you shape your living, both old and new.

Your name registered in the Campus book,
Even among travelers, you're the one they look.
Forbes lists your name among the rich and wise,
You top the ranks as an evangelist that flies.

Pride in every roll call you maintain,
Like the green board in our learning domain.
Your name echoes in every household's fame,
A testament to your recognized acclaim.

First Class honors and hearts you've won,
Your name on the lips of beauties, a shining sun.
Leading the list of Shell's company shares,
Success and achievement, everyone declares.

All these accolades in the human sphere,
But in the realm of divinity, let's make it clear.
These accomplishments hold little weight,
When life's journey meets its final gate.

Life after death, what tale do you weave?
As your eyes close and you take your leave.
If your name's not found in the Book of Life's grace,
Then your life's worth is but a fleeting chase.

The Book of Life, destiny's decree,
Not published by humanity, as you'll see.
It scores your earthly deeds, both good and bad,
Determining the heavenly home you'll be clad.

No earthly treasure can secure your place,
In this sacred book, you seek God's embrace.
It qualifies you for a mansion on high,
Erasing any hint of hell's dark sky.

The question may seem rhetorical, it's true,
Some find it absurd, as they often do.
But ponder with each breath you take,
Is your name in the Book of Life, for heaven's sake?
It's a wealth beyond measure, a priceless stake.

This is an amazing piece! Every line echoes words of truth that reminds us of life after death. life becomes complete and meaningful when it is registered not only in life's book but also, in the book of life.
