Winter Season

Trees that were once bushing green,
Stand today with leaves unseen;
Earth that was once playful brown,
Is now under snowy crown.
Birds that were once in full flight,
Now stay in nests day and night;
Bears of the poles that did predation,
Are now calm under hibernation.
Children that once romped till night,
Now just play in afternoon bright;
Summers that had irritated for long,
Vanished as winter sang its arrival song.
Winters are chilly, winters are cool,
But take care, you don’t get be-fool’;
May the winters be hard to stand,
They nurture things deep to understand.
“Have boldness but with peace,”
Says the awesome Earth;
“Look before you leap,”
Says an infant at its birth.
Robert chose a road on an autumn evening,
But traveled on it on a winter evening;
A grasshopper chooses a difficult path,
But a bird says, “Listen to your heart.”
Winter hails, winter rains,
In winter, one not much gains;
God says, “Be out of strain,
Take your time and cure your pain.”
“Do what you can with your inner heat,
But stop and think with nothing beneath;
Thought your day has been followed by a night,
You’ll have a day after every night.”
So friends, get that message of God,
And try to stand on your own pod;
Trees will be green and Earth brown again,
But please don’t lose your peace again.
