I've wondered for centuries
How the moon keeps its dignity

Always out shown by the sun
Never truly admired by anyone

How can she always be happy

When the only way she can be seen
Is in the light of another being

Why can't I be like the moon
Shining in another's light

Flourishing because of someone else's might
Always being there even in the darkest of nights

So ...

To my dearest moon
Why can't I be like you...
