Pure Joy

When I think of You
I feel pure joy
Because You love me
Unconditionally
You created me
Knowing in advance
Who you wanted me
To be
You have a plan
For my life
You have always
Been there for me
Even when I
Did not know it
Or thought you
Were not
Or simply just
Somehow forgot
I pray to You
Regularly
And constantly ask
For Your guidance
In my life
I love and need You
So very much
Since life
Has been difficult
And I never know
What curveballs
It will throw at me
Without You
I would be lost
With You
I am found
Thank You Lord
For being You
And for accepting me
As I am
With all my faults
And for giving me
Gifts that I can use
For Your glory and honor
And for the
Pure joy
Of others and myself
I do not know
What the future
Has in store for me
But I know that
You do
And You will
Help me through
And that someday
I will be
The person You
Created me
To be.

This poem is awesome! Thank you for openly sharing your faith! You have expressed wonderfully what believers feel about the Lord. I'm so thankful for his love for me! I like how you Incorporated how hard life can be, how we don't always hit the mark, and God loves us no matter what. Good poem!
