If babies could talk,
They would sing like a choir.
Tell us what we need
For true love to be aquired.
What a simple act can do to a child.
What parents were missing, when they decided
Our fates and needs, with everything divided.
Keep to our standards, never be wild.
They teach their cubs to work hard in life,
Follow the rules, don't cross the line,
Love them forever, the cuts of their knife,
Keep yourself in check, emotions never shine.
The past isn't over, unless they are gone,
But even then, we can still feel like a pawn.
Struggling to exist in the short time left,
Fighting for ourselves, pain in the chest.
Try not to die, is the lesson we get,
So we just survive, the conditions are met.
Sadness is there, but it's so normal,
It feels like home, keeping life formal.
Don't become parents, if you don't know,
What life is about, what it means to grow.
