VAIN VANITY

A glowworm strives to transform,
Under the supervision of balmy norm.
It flies with pride to give off light;
forgetting the essence of humble night.
Gradually, it drops the charm
Of acute epiphany in absurd farm.
Still, the dimmed firefly hovers
Around the moon, for sheen covers.
All of its efforts will go in vain,
Unless it chides the desire of conceited gain.
