Now I lay me down to sleep
Refreshing memories I wish to keep
Upon the pillow my head does rest
Eyes closed, envisioning the best
Darkness soon follows within a sleep
A formless glowing light, I dare leap
Feeling a tug without hesitation
Floating to the trails destination
I can see
But I see not me
I ache to touch, to taste the love
As I slowly descend from above
Reaching out to caress the hair
A tender kiss to show I care
Outstretched palm upon the chest
The beating heart soothes my rest
Calmness over comes this spirit mine
To embrace this Love so divine
A startling sound from so far off
Jerking me back, awake with a cough
I sit up dazed, mystified, and tired
Wondering if my mind is properly wired
