One may try to hide
Deny all the nights he cried
No matter what the tide
Everybody's a little broken inside

Someone told me to put myself in other's shoes
And imagine myself a pauper with no shoes
So he asked "what do you see?"
I said, "nothing but judgmental eyes on me"

Harsh words are easily thrown
As if the world is their own
If only we see things from other's light
Certainly we'll understand their fight

People are all the same
Well maybe, some are more blessed in fame
But remember, no matter what the tide
Everybody's a little broken inside
"Though my soul may set in darkness, it will rise in perfect light;
I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night."

Beautiful Poem. This is one thing that we all forget, one thing that we try to deny. We all want to believe we are all the same, when in fact, the only thing we share is flesh and blood. No matter how hard one tries to look inside, there are so many barriers, walls we built to hide. It makes it difficult to see from another's perspective. It becomes so much easier to judge others, but takes so much more to try to understand. Many choose to not make the effort. Which is why we hide whats broken on the inside.

I'm glad you enjoyed reading my poem. I completely agree with you that nowadays, it became so much easier to judge other people. Sadly, I am guilty of this sometimes. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

I like the poem. It is compact and with the right tone. It is about heartbreak, a little bit of it according to the writer.

The form and structure is great. Good job.
