In a world where musical notes transport emotions as the wind carries fallen leaves

the words within each note could heal all my pain and sorrow

if she were still alive and not lost in the shadows


if only my hands had danced along the blank pages faster and without worry

then maybe her absence would be less harrowing in my heart and soul

but fate is cruel and it dealt a hand of a deafening tune

that silenced her laughter much too soon


now I write notes of grief and sadness

with each melody accompanying the beat of my broken heart

a lullaby of what could have been

for a melody of a love unseen


among the symphony of pain and suffering

I mourn her loss through every song, chord, note, and melody

Played, danced, or written

As if it will somehow bring her back to me


However, as the music plays on

Without her here,

Only a haunting absence remains that I must bear

appearing time and time again


In a realm where art and creativity

create masterpieces of happiness and sorrow

I attempt to find solace in the songs we used to share and the lyrics you sang

I strive to continue writing songs of our friendship and love for one another

Along with the messages of your life

And the wisdom you bestowed upon me


In hopes that it will keep you alive

In the form of memories

That will never be forgotten

By me or anyone else


For you are
