Water color meaning

I used the water color paint you gave me
two years ago
-or was it three?-
And painted my meaning to the world
on a white canvas
In that place in Italy we always wanted
to go
but never got to
I painted my meaning with white, first
because
I didn't have one -or so I thought.
I took the meaning out of the canvas, then
And planted it into my heart
So my heart was my meaning...

I grew the meaning since then, you know
First, like an adoptive parent with an abandoned child -I didn't know what to do-
I started to love it after -what a beautiful love story!-
And my meaning took every shade of your watercolor set.
