Three Things I Love
One thing I love is this flower;
I watch it sprout every day,
the leaves are very open and seize the fresh air,
just like my grandfather was very open and optimistic.
This flower reminds me of my grandfather,
it was here when I met my grandfather and was here when he went up.
It’s as if the flower talks to me, “Your grandfather would be so joyful, happy to see how far
you’ve come.”
The petals are so soft, like the fur on a fuzzy winter coat
like how my grandfather was, so delicate and sweet,
warm like the tea you sip when you feel lonely.
He seemed like the soft, silky nectar that sleeps in the flower’s petals.
I will never forget his lovely qualities while he was here.

One thing I love is this painting,
all of the colors blended and formed together to create a masterpiece.
It looks elegant and sophisticated, it would be a great pleasure (for me) to stare at it all day long.
And it was created by no other, than Vincent Van Gogh, called Starry Night.
Everywhere I go, I see this painting, and I feel that we all should look at it,
for it is peaceful and it shows us that not all things are man-made, and can be from nature too.
Just take the time for pockets of pleasure with peace, with paintings like these
they can be so valuable with a good understanding or an open heart, -- it can open your imagination.
You suddenly feel free like a bird soaring through the sky where there is no limit to how far
you can explore your own fantasy.
As I become the painter,
I can feel the crispy paintbrush swooshing and swishing on the canvas.
I can smell the fresh scents of pasty splotching paint.

One thing I love is this book,
now, I know it’s much easier to switch on the TV, but I specifically chose to read, for a reason.
Your feelings are like a prison, and reading feels like an escape to that prison.
When I walk into the library, there is an immediate bubble of joy inside of me.
I am thrilled to know that I am able to quietly take a seat, and read.
As I turn the grainy page, I am ready to read because when you read, there are no noises, distractions, or sights needed. And when you read, you can paint the picture in your mind independently, without a television easily telling you how things should and shouldn’t look. The book can consume you so much because it is only unpredictable.
