I long for happiness
For the end of this sadness
For this darkness to vanish
For this emptiness to be filled
And the scars to fade

I long for a hearty laughter
For the truest smile
For the tears to dry up
For the wounds to heal
And the pain to be lifted

I long for my heart to be calm
For this anger to be let go
For this confusion to go
For the guilt I feel to be lifted
Lord, I need the truest smile.
