Icon The Rain!

Post by Abayomi2060 »

The sky is pregnant
The rain is born
A flood of emotions in an instant
As happy as the trees for the dry days are gone
Unhappy animals scramble for cover in the undergrowth

Basking in the rain they stand
For they know nothing lasts forever
Waiting for freedom they hide
For they know nothing lasts forever

One must suffer to enjoy
For when it was dry
Animals were filled with joy
The trees were in total outcry
Nothing lasts forever
One must suffer to enjoy

To see the rainbow one must endure the rain
And pray not to suffer in vain
Life however we may view it is no simple parlour game
In the end they both went through the same
For when the rain is gone
The fruit borne by the tree is left to someone
Life is a lesson imperfectly learned

Wow. This is great. The first poetry I will read with all the lines meaningful. Great one Abayomi. Keep writing
Lord, protect me from my friends; I can take care of my enemies.

Great piece, Abayomi, I like the imagery/symbolism.
