Whispers of your shadows

Post by Ololade Sedowo »

Pieces of you still haunt me
your scent, your laugh,
your coat abandoned in my house.

Silence screams in my head,
reminding me you’re gone.
No tears, no prayers, no rage
can bring you back.

You hurt, and I bled.
I loved you until I hated myself.
Life without you is a page I fear to turn,
a chapter I never wanted to write.

Seventeen years, gone in a breath.
No goodbye, just emptiness,
an obsession that became my madness.

Now, I release myself.
Not from you,
but from the torment you left behind.

This is the end of my ache,
the final sting of love.
In darkness, I find rest,
no longer fearing the ghost of you.
