The Weight of Falsehood

I stood before the eager minds,
A teacher shaping dreams with time.
Lessons poured like morning light,
Guiding souls toward futures bright.
Yet shadows crept where truth should be,
A whisper turned to a raging sea.
Fingers pointed, hearts turned cold,
A tale of shame, unjustly told.
They dragged my name through dust and stone,
Stripped me bare, left me alone.
Bars loomed close, chains nearly tight,
For a crime I did not ignite.
The walls echoed with silent cries,
Injustice wore a thin disguise.
But truth, though buried, never fades,
It fights through lies, it breaks the cage.
Through darkest nights, I held my ground,
Though bruised by whispers all around.
And when at last the dawn broke free,
The chains fell off—truth set me free.
Yet scars remain, both seen and not,
A past I carry, though I'd forgot.
Still, I teach, though worlds feel changed,
For innocence must be reclaimed.
A teacher shaping dreams with time.

Guiding souls toward futures bright.
Yet shadows crept where truth should be,
A whisper turned to a raging sea.
