I travel
by Onnalenna Nompucuko Gaborone
I travel above the horizons,
I soar into the unseen
I barely change emoticons
Then I travel beneath the sea.
I know my mind is still on
As I can still breathe;
I know it's for a good cause
For me to be in this submarine,
But just spare me a thought
Of why it spikes me so sleepy?
It must be it's gaslight claws
Out for snatching
Not sure what of,
But of my gasoline.
Instead of bringing me to shore
And being a real shield
It lands me on the floor.
Conditioning me to this despondent constant feel.
If I could locate the door,
I would make myself leave.
And I can't turn off,
This echoing reality and of everything it accuses me.
My paws
Are too skinny,
And too soft,
To block and to fight off the scream, the shriek and the screech.
Will I ever get to the top,
And conquer this being?
Will I ever accomplish everything for which I so long
Or just die Bipolar me?
