I completely agree. Even when the movie is good, the book is always better. In this case, the producers managed to make a good movie that followed the same storyline as the book, which is amazing. However, the little details are always lost in the process, which makes the novel stand out.jleach1973 wrote: ↑12 Oct 2015, 09:43 Papertowns is my second favorite book by John Green so I was happy to hear that the movie was being made. Overall, I did like the movie and I also appreciated how much the movie stayed true to the book. However, I believe I will always prefer books over movies simply because there are so many thoughts, etc. that cannot be translated well into the movie medium. I get the most enjoyment out of reading the book first so I can use my knowledge of the story to get more out of the movie.

Besides, somehow in the movie it seemed that Q only wanted to find Margo because he found her attractive and wanted to be with her, which is even addressed by Margo in the movie.
In the book, Q genuinely cared about Margo and wanted her to be safe. He also tried to understand her thoughts and problems through the book she had left (even though he was wrong about the book having clues, he at least tried) and by talking to her old friends
