Best OST

Post by El_greco »

OK, so what i was thinking was to have a topic for great soundtrack songs.
What is a must in this thread is to post a song and write in what movie it was used and how did you like the movie (write something about the movie/series also).

RZA is a member of the Wu-Tang Clan. He makes their music. The specifics of their sound is that it is very very VERY raw. Before the Wu there were all those smooth g-funk songs and then came the Wu. One guy commented: It sounds like it was recorded in a closet. The real raw Wu.

So this guy made the whole soundtrack for the Jim Jarmusch movie Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai starring Forrest Whitaker. It's about a hitman reading "Hagakure: The Way of the Samurai." A local italian mobster in Jersey saved his life once, and now this guy, honoring the samurai code, thinks the mobster is his master, and he does everything he can to protect him. His best friend is a french speaking Haitian ice-cream man, who can't speak english (and Ghost dog doesn't speak french), but they understand eachother somehow.
Critics say the movie was a homage to Jean-Pierre Melville's Le Samourai.

Great movie, great soundtrack!
