Something to think about?

I was once asked as an exercise and I will ask you all here to provide an answer if you are game to.

The scenario is this:
An alien spaceship has arrived in Earth orbit and off course we tried to shoot it down, we failed but we did manage to really annoy them. A day elapsed and then there was a broadcast, it was on all channels of TV and Radio, it was the aliens, they told us, "you seem to be at best a barbaric and backward species, but we have rules we live by, so you have one day to say who will answer our questions about you and your world. If the answers are wrong we will destroy your planet and exterminate your species. If they answer correctly we will welcome you into the universes intelligent species group. We await your response".

My question is, who would you nominate to represent our species in such a forum?

President Obama. The aliens would not destroy us. They would think, Good Lord, if thats their leader thats punishment enough.
