You are right about honey's ability to bind things together. And it's still used in fancy [art supply/art style]

Yes! Watercolor specifically, since it was the medium used in anthropological expeditions. But paint it is!

Do you realize, @María Andrea Fernández Sepúlveda, that I have been involved with this forum topic for the last four years on an almost daily basis? I don't know if I deserve a medal or a padded cell.
I will return to submit a new riddle soon, but first I have to finish my finger-painting of The Moaning Lisa (Leonardo's Mona with her fingers caught between the rollers of her wringer washing machine).

1) I am mineral created by an animal.
2) I am prized by women the world over.
3) If your head is in the clouds I will bring you back to earth.
4) I can be easily impaired.

If you feel you'd like to retire for awhile from The Riddle Thread after the current riddle has been solved I will join you.
As for your reply, it is not a diamond.
HINT: It was far more valuable to women at an earlier time in history when it was less available.

Although I have not been actively involved for four years, I do enjoy reading the riddles. Usually, they are too hard for me to figure out, and then there is always the danger that I will win and have to come up with my own riddle. Also, for some reason, I am no longer notified when there is a post. I guess I need to check my settings.María Andrea Fernández Sepúlveda wrote: ↑29 Apr 2024, 20:28I might join you on that padded cell because, at this point, we are the only ones actively involved in this forum.DATo wrote: ↑29 Apr 2024, 03:47 Hoooraaaaay!!! It is not a tortoiseshell although that is a very good answer.
HINT 2: Staying with the "women's choice" clue .... the period I was in short supply for women's need was the 1940s.
